Information on ingredients and alternatives

SHRIMP If you can’t find grilled shrimp, you can use large or extra large shrimp. I would not recommend pre cooked shrimp recipe.

SAUCE Our version of Hunan sauce is a combination of oyster sauce, Asian chili, low sodium soy sauce, garlic and a little honey. This dish could be considered moderately spicy, but not overpowering, especially if your taste buds are used to a good kick. If you want the shrimp to be spicier, you can reduce the amount of honey to 2 tablespoons, or just start with a small amount, taste and add as needed. If you want, you can use chili paste instead of Asian chili garlic sauce.
